THE ROMEA GERMANICA IMPERIALE WAY connects Trento and Rome.
The NAME tells it:
Rome is the destination and Germanica is the provenance.
IMPERIAL: has ties to 60 emperors, from the first of Rome, Octavian Augustus, to the Habsburgs, the last imperial house of Europe.
North of Trento, continuing along the Via Claudia Augusta, we arrive at the Danube; but we will go even further north: we are in fact planning a series of itineraries that will connect cities important for the history of the emperors: Treviri and Aquisgrana.
It is one of the principal routes used both anciently and in the present day; it is walkable on foot and also by mountain bike; the main route measures approximately 1200 km, to which are added almost another 300 variants and links, across 7 regions and 99 municipalities.
